Description
History
Produced by Tenuta San Guido, Sassicaia was the first Italian wine to receive a DOC reserved exclusively for a single producer: Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC. Created in the 1940s by Marquis Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, Sassicaia revolutionized Tuscan viticulture by introducing Bordeaux varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, becoming a benchmark in the global wine landscape.
