Description
History
Milena and Aldo Vaira’s company is located in the hamlet of Vergne in Barolo, where the vineyards are located at a high altitude, and thanks to this Nebbiolo and other native vines can ripen more slowly, giving life to wines with special characteristics, fresh aromas, balanced acidity and juicy fruit. The company, founded in the 70s, extends for 40 hectares and produces different types of wine, including Barolo “Bricco delle Viole”, Barbera Superiore, Barolo “Albe”, Dolcetto Coste&Fossati, Freisa Kyè, Langhe Bianco and others, trying to enhance the peculiarities of the Vergne territory in each wine produced.

Production method
Slow alcoholic fermentation in oak vats with maceration of 40 days, the refinement is 42-48 months in large Slavonian oak barrels.

Tasting notes
Garnet red color with ruby reflections. On the nose, an extraordinary aromatic profile and unparalleled refinement. The notes of cherries in alcohol blend perfectly with those of dark berries, violets and dried roses.
Possible pairings
It can be paired with tasty first courses seasoned with ragù or wild boar ragù, roasts and grilled red meat, red meat and medium-aged cheeses.
