Sangiovese 70%
Cabernet Sauvignon 20%
Merlot 10%
Production method
The grapes are 70% destemmed, while the remaining 30% is vinified with whole bunches. All the bunches are moved by gravity, without the use of pressing. Maceration takes place delicately inside unlined concrete tanks. 50% of the wine matures in 20hl Slavonian oak barrels for approximately six months, while the other 50% rests in non-vitrified concrete vats. This process allows the wine to best express the unique characteristics of the Carmignano area.
