Description
History
For many years, Terlao has represented the maximum expression of refinement and durability in Alto Adige. Founded in 1893 in its namesake locality, not far from Merano, the Terlano winery is one of the most innovative producer cooperatives not only in Alto Adige but throughout Italy. The 143 members cultivate a total of 165 hectares of vineyards, with an annual production that exceeds one million bottles. These numbers are reflected in the quality of their white and red wines, which are loved by both the public and critics.

Production method
The harvest begins with a manual selection of the bunches, followed by a delicate pressing of the whole bunches once they arrive in the cellar. Fermentation proceeds slowly at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by refinement on fine yeasts for a period ranging from 5 to 7 months, always in steel.

Tasting notes
Bright straw yellow colour. On the nose, aromas of lily and tropical fruit emerge, accompanied by a light spiciness reminiscent of cloves, and a delicate note of rose, typical of this vine. On the palate, it is surprising for its coherence with the perceived aromas. Liveliness and freshness characterize the sip, enriched by mineral notes that create a full and persistent aftertaste.
Possible combinations
Possible pairing with very spicy and tasty first courses or with white meats with exotic spices, such as chicken curry. A pairing worth trying is also with some very tasty types of sushi.
