Description
History
Girlan/Cornaiano is a village of which there are historical documents since 1085; the variety of soils, the altitude which varies from 250 to 550 m a.s.l. and the particular microclimate make it an area particularly suited to the cultivation of native and international vines. However, the current cellar was founded in 1923 thanks to the foresight of 23 members, who will see the company continue to evolve, until the inauguration of new premises and more modern production facilities in 2010.

Production method
The harvest takes place in boxes strictly by hand. Destemming and soft pressing of the grapes and then the wine is placed in stainless steel containers for the alcoholic fermentation, during which the maceration of the grapes is deliberately prolonged in order to favor a greater extraction of aromas and polyphenols. The wine also undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation in cement containers.

Tasting notes
At sight it has a pale and slightly transparent ruby red color with luminous reflections. On the nose sensations of red pulp fruit and flowers, frank and direct. In the mouth velvety and delicate, fresh and immediate, with a light body and easy to drink.
Possible combinations
Vernatsch “448 a.s.l.” it is perfect as an aperitif for lovers of light and fruity red wines, or throughout the meal. As pairings it goes very well with light but tasty dishes, even with a base of undercooked red meat or first courses with tomatoes and spices, for example.
